Welcome toWhitehaven Rambling Club
Our Club was founded in 1928, so activities have developed
over many years; and of course they’re still changing.
The main things we do nowadays are:
- simultaneous A, B and C grade rambles on alternate
Sundays throughout the year.
- Wednesday evening local walks from March to September.
- Wednesday evening lectures from September to March.
- walking and social weekends elsewhere in the UK, usually
two or three times per year.
- annual Christmas Party or Dance.
- issue to members a detailed quarterly bulletin of events.
- in addition we have had some long distance walks by
Club groups and several walking holidays abroad.
Current membership is £5 per year, plus a small joining fee and charges for lecture costs and ramble transport. Everyone is welcome at lectures and on rambles, although regular ramblers will eventually be expected to join! Last Update 15th January 2010
